KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
• 5+ years in IT, 2 + years in application technologies.
• Knowledge of PGP encryption, SSH, Connect:Direct, Certificate management, light project management, version control management, general network knowledge.
• Hands on knowledge and experience in Perl, VB script and ssh/ksh scripting.
• Excellent problem determination and troubleshooting skills and use of debugging tools and techniques.
• Outstanding organizational & time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, and able to adapt to change.
• Self-Motivation and Persistence
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to motivate and influence others in the organization to reach a common goal.
• OS Competencies: Win2k3, WIN2k8
• Server performance knowledge
• Microsoft certified or relevant experience
• Hands on knowledge and experience with UNIX is a plus.
• Certifications in Unix, MS Windows, MS Sharepoint, .NET is a plus
• Any development background is a plus
JOB DUTIES:
• Supports the development efforts of projects and enhancements as applies to related applications.
• Installs, configures, tests, and integrates related applications
• Works with ITG peers to implement and or troubleshoot application related issues.
• Insure that standards set by senior members of team are followed
• Documents work completed and creates documentation to define and communicate said work.
• Coordinate and drive vendors issue resolution; this involves bringing multiple vendors to the table to get to root cause issues and take corrective action
• Root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures to eliminate future occurrences
• Provide accurate and timely problem/outage reporting both to customers and executive management
