Primary Function The principal focus of the lead developer is the implementation and support of the Oracle Financials product suite. This individual is a technical and functional leader on the Oracle Financials team and fosters the team environment through active, hands-on participation and through coaching and mentoring. This individual makes and stands behind project decisions, seeking input and gaining consensus from all concerned parties and ensuring that all points are considered. He/she understands how all the project tasks fit together and interact, and sets the priority of tasks based on business goals, time constraints and natural prerequisites. This individual influences those not under their direct control in order to remove project obstacles and ensure optimum outcomes. He/she anticipates changing circumstances by providing realistic plans to meet established deadlines. The lead analyst’s principal goal is to use his/her technical, functional and leadership skills to achieve project success by demonstrating and inspiring team members to set higher levels of excellence. This individual predominantly directs and participates in the efforts of project and/or support teams, and is expected to gain and demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of the development life cycle – analyzing/documenting requirements/specifications, design, development, testing/reviewing, deployment and maintenance. This individual must be proficient in all aspects of applications development. The individual will actively participate in team leadership, definition of development standards, and setting best practices, as well as perform coding and design.


Major Duties and Responsibilities• Assumes responsibility for all aspects of project development by:- Ensuring that functional/technical design specifications have been completed - Coordinating programming, testing and implementation efforts- Anticipating and addressing project obstacles- Ensuring that project adheres to established quality standards and measurements- Ensuring that appropriate documentation has been completed and distributed to operations, configuration management, and

business users before deployment• Participates, as required, in a hands-



on role, contributing with his/her technical/functional expertise. Must have an advanced understanding of programming techniques and industry trends. Must be an expert in Oracle technology, but understand other trends/tools available outside that realm.• Ensures that design and development inspections are performed as needed.• Performs complex design and coding assignments as needed.• Researches and responds to technical questions.• Ensures that support situations are addressed in a timely and effective manner.• Manages internal and external resources, as necessary.• Make major project design decisions based on functional analysis and involvement of team members. • Ensure that Business teams are kept informed. • Actively participates in meetings of all kinds. Fosters an atmosphere which encourages others to freely contribute.• Gives direction to others through feedback. Foster a team environment which encourages sharing of skills and knowledge. Work with team members to balance workloads and ensure timely completion of tasks. Be accountable for the success of the project and the effectiveness of work processes within the team.• Uses all available resources effectively.• Exercises long-term vision. Help set organization direction. Education / Experience Requirement:• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science. • 5+ years of production experience leading implementation and support for Oracle Financials including GL, AP, AR, and PA modules. Prior experience with integration of Oracle add-ons. • Demonstrated ability to manage complex design and development activities.• Organized and detail oriented. Demonstrated technical ability in:• Programming languages (Oracle Forms, Developer 2000 application development suite, Oracle Workflow, J Developer/Java, Discoverer, UNIX shell scripting, XML/XSL)• Database languages (Oracle database PL/SQL & SQL)• Oracle 11i/R12 Financials applications development (Defining concurrent programs, Request sets, Custom .pll, Custom forms, and Custom reports)• Data & Functional Analysis Skills• Environments (PVCS, Clear Quest, VSS, Visual Studio, Rational Suite) • Platforms (Windows 2003/2000, Windows NT 4.0, XP)• Technologies (OOD, ADO, ODBC, IIS) Solid foundation in the following:• Oracle Financials ERP at a functional level including GL, AP, AR and PA (Project Accounting)Operating Systems • Unix• Windows
