Project Management Responsibilities and Deliverables:
- Assume all responsibilities associated with managing programs and projects as assigned. This responsibility consists of many specific and defined work package elements, including: all overall program planning, project level monitoring and controls including Statement of Work (SOW), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Requirements Planning, Communications Plans, Risk Plans, Cost Expenditure Plans, Issues Tracking, Status reporting and their applicable administration efforts, i.e. scheduling meetings, recording minutes, etc.
At a minimum, the administrative tasks will include:
a. Define, develop and control the program’s master schedule
b. Coordinate, conduct and provide minutes for regular weekly Core Project Team status meetings
c. Define, control and report on all project related issues
d. Define, develop, control and provide monthly reports concerned with the program’s budget via detailed work stream reports and aggregated program financial summaries
e. Define, develop, control and provide monthly Project Risk Management Plans
f. Develop and distribute weekly project and allover program Status Reports
g. The preparation and presentation of regular executive level progress, status and forecast positions
h. Serve as the primary point of contact for all of the clients disciplines effected by the assigned projects within the program
- Establish, lead and control a cross-functional project team
- Ensure establishment / validation of Production Monitoring and support tools and processes prior to any production deployment
- System and Operational Support Training planning as required
- Validation of SOX compliancy for all application deployment processes, including the preparation and presentation of the clients Production Review Board (PRB) gating milestone approval
- Planning and coordination of all test related activities to include, unit, integration, system, regression, performance, User Acceptance Testing, etc.
Key Personnel/Skill Set Requirements:
As stated above, the client is seeking a program / project management skilled individual. This candidate will need to demonstrate the generic skills and requirements listed below:
- A minimum of six years of hands on Information Technology Project Management, including management of ERP systems upgrades and / or implementations
- Skilled at applying structured Project Life Cycle methodology
- The Project Manager will perform his / her duties via a matrix organization approach partnered with a Technology Manager who will provide technical expertise and the Project Management team who will provide process and procedure support and guidance.
- Ability to define and document all required project level tasks
- Capable of coordinating work activities over multiple organizations (including vendors)
- Ability to control and direct work over multiple, regional, geographic locations
- Excellent verbal & written communications skills
- Ability to effectively work with minimal supervision both individually and in a team setting
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Perform multiple tasks and adjust priority based on workload or direction from management or customer
- Experience in leading project teams consisting of skills that include a developers, functional SMEs and business analysts
- Experience in the use of the MS Office tool suite and MS Project working with sub-projects and linked projects is required. Experience with CA’s Clarity Tool would be a plus
- Experience with multiple server hardware platforms and middle-tier and storage systems and software
- Experience with Application development life cycles
- Project Management Institute’s PMP credential is preferred
